After keeping a low profile for several weeks after reports of her alleged affair with director Rupert Sanders surfaced, Kristen Stewart has finally ventured back into the public eye.

The Twilight actress - who was dating English heartthrob Robert Pattinson - took to the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival to promote upcoming film On The Road, which also stars Garrett Hedlund and Amy Adams.

While the stunning 22-year-old was all smiles while posing for photographers, she was later spotted looking rather overwhelmed with her publicist - and date for the evening - Ruth Bernstein.

Her appearance at the event comes after she was photographed in the arms of her Snow White and the Huntsman director Sanders - who is married with two children - in July.

British actor Pattinson has thrown himself back into work amid the drama, appearing on a number of television shows and attending public appearances on a number of occasions.
