Mick Jagger 'pursued Angelina Jolie'

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger was said to be infatuated with Angelina Jolie for two years, despite being married to Texan-born model Jerry Hall at the time.

A controversial new biography written about the British rocker by Christopher Anderson claims Jagger was vying for the attention of Jolie when she was just 18 years old and dating singing superstar Eric Clapton.

Hall was said to be standing just a few feet away from her partner with their children Elizabeth and James when the Rolling Stone was introduced to a young Jolie.

A crew member recalled: "Mick was flirting with the girl outrageously. Jerry just ignored it, but you couldn't help but feel sorry for her."

Despite reportedly dating a string of women after their first meeting, Jagger pursued Jolie when she featured as a stripper in the music video for Anybody Seen My Baby?, despite the fact she was married to Jonny Lee Miller and having an affair with Timothy Hutton.

While he was said to bombard her with phone calls, Jagger's advances were largely unsuccessful and he eventually moved on to soft porn actress Luciana Borad when Jolie could not meet him on tour in Brazil.
