David Arquette and Courtney Cox File for Divorce The Same Day!
Courtney Cox filed for divorce once she found out that David Arquette did this that very day. Thus their divorce petition is mutual but Cox also filed a petition citing “irreconcilable differences”. The couple has an 8-year-old daughter, Coco, and they both asked for joint legal and physical custody.
In fact Cox and Arquette announced their break-up in October 2010 but they didn’t file for divorce and remained good friends to each other. Now the actress of Cougar Town wants to be restored as Courtney Cox which means that her husband’s name will be legally dropped. In spite of it, Cox says: "Our relationship is probably better than it would be if we lived together". She also added now they understand and respect each other more than before, and it’s hard to admit it now, during the divorce process.
Next day after the couple filed divorce papers, Cox attended the Vintage Hollywood Fundraiser Saturday at Arquette's home in Beverly Hills, smiling and playing it cool.
